The Call

Whether we like it or not, as the younger generation, we will continue to be confronted by challenges unknown to generations past. We have reached a pinnacle of human development defined in no small measure by the economic, social, and environmental problems that our pursuit of progress has spawned, realities that historically have gone neglected and unconsidered. We can no longer afford to ignore them.

The sheer magnitude and scope of all of these issues can at times seem so daunting and overwhelming that it is easy to believe that it is beyond our reach to address any one problem, much less try to tackle the lot of them. Luckily, soon we will be the CEOs, the judges, the contractors, the lawyers, the politicians, the doctors, the husbands, the wives, the parents; that is, we will be the ones in charge. Still, it is crucial that we realize that we are in fact inheriting the infrastructure of a society that is exclusively driven by bottom line profit and that has forgotten that we must look out for the common good of all people by preserving the resources that we so desperately depend on.

What we propose is the following: As the younger generation and inheritors of this troubled world, let’s step up to the plate. Let’s unite, convene, discuss, debate, plan and execute, but most importantly, let’s make it a priority to get informed. We must empower ourselves because ultimately we are the only ones who can.

With this in mind, Envirolution is constantly expanding our web-based community, created for the purpose of providing our generation with the platform, network, and forum to learn, share, organize and mobilize, in order to facilitate and expedite the changes we wish to see in our world. It’s the future of our world that is at stake, so let’s not be afraid. Let's get creative and excited and let's start making moves, be it by petitioning, rallying, writing, singing, debating, making art, marching, being socially aware, being smarter consumers, eating more healthily, talking to people, joining socially and environmentally friendly institutions, and/or listening to the concerns of others. All of these small steps can and will eventually become a big step, and will be followed by larger and larger strides. None of us can do this alone, but TOGETHER WE CANNOT BE STOPPED.

It is Our World. It Has To Be Us.
Lead It. Live It.
